Alert message sent 04/03/2019 17:20:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch in Nottinghamshire

Stapleford cluster beat team and NottsWatch were encouraged to see positive responses to our local beat team’s recent Facebook post following the awful assault on a local, elderly man:

Local Stapleford officers from the Safer neighbourhoods team are looking to set up a Neighbourhood Watch Group intended to bring people together to make our community safer. However, this is not something we can do without your involvement! If you are local to the Stapleford beat and would be interested in getting involved, let us know and we will arrange an initial meeting if this is something that is backed by the community.

The police have asked for our support with this so if you like the sound of your community being safer because you and your neighbours are watching out for each other and are better informed, please respond to this message or email and provide the following details:
  1. Your name
  2. Your street name and postcode
  3. If there is a scheme already registered that you could join. (Easy check from homepage using the Find a local scheme service)
  4. If there is, do you know who runs the scheme and are you happy with how it is run.
  5. If not, would you be happy to speak with your neighbours and, with NottsWatch support, set up a scheme. (There shouldn’t be any costs involved.)
  6. If you would prefer to meet with myself or PCSO Luci Allsebrook or you prefer to go to a meeting with other residents already involved with neighbourhood watch or keen to join.
If you have specific crime concerns that you would like to discuss with the police please email

Together, we can build a stronger community.
